Airbus on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Hyderabad-based Flytech Aviation Academy, to explore collaboration opportunities in remotely piloted aircraft system (RPAS) training.
The MoU was signed at Aero India 2021 and both the companies will look for synergies

Airbus an european aircraft manufacturer, has experience in aviation training, courseware development, safety and quality standards.
Flytech an Indian aviation training academy is focused on aviation training services, including the training of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV).
Understanding MOU
As part of the MoU, Airbus and Flytech will work toward providing best-in-class training to budding drone pilots, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
Purpose
As per the government, the number of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) is increasing in India.
At present, there are about 40,000 drones in the country which is expected to cross 10 Lakhs by 2025.
With this view point, there is a need of about 5 lakh drone pilots.
