The Indian squad that will play in the T20 World Cup has concluded its selection procedure as of Tuesday. The BCCI secretary Jay Shah and the Ajit Agarkar-led selection panel met in Ahmedabad to choose the 15-player squad for the world cup event, which is set to begin in the USA and the West Indies on June 1.

India Announce Squad For 2024 T20 World Cup
Rohit Sharma will lead India’s quest for the long-awaited championship, as the BCCI unveiled their team for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2024.
There was a lot of speculation and competition regarding the wicketkeeper’s identity prior to the announcement. India has ultimately awarded the gloves to Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson.
With this, Pant will participate in an international cricket match for the first time since sustaining an injury in December 2022 that prevented him from playing for more than a year.
The choice of hitters did not come as a surprise; the captain Rohit, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Virat Kohli were all predicted to shore up the top order.
The pacers Avesh Khan and Khaleel Ahmed are the only other players Shubman Gill and Rinku Singh are included in the reserve side.
KL Rahul, who played in India’s last two T20 World Cup campaigns (2021 and 2022), is an important absence from the list.
