Paris/New York, August 28, 2026: French quantum computing company Pasqal saw its shares surge during its Nasdaq debut, highlighting growing investor interest in the emerging quantum technology industry.

The company’s strong market debut comes as investors look for opportunities beyond conventional artificial intelligence and semiconductor technologies.

Quantum computers use fundamentally different methods of computation that could eventually help solve certain problems beyond the practical capabilities of classical computers.

Potential applications include drug discovery, materials science, optimisation and complex scientific simulations.

However, the technology remains in an early stage, with researchers still working to improve reliability, scalability and error correction.

Pasqal’s market performance nevertheless signals increasing financial interest in quantum computing and Europe’s ambitions to develop a competitive technology industry in the sector
