Job description
- Provide day-to-day leadership to the finance, accounting, vendor management, corporate analytics, financial planning, corporate development and tax functions as it relates to the India business unit in a way that is consistent with group wide policy, procedures and financial controls
- Provide direction and advice to the India and global Leadership team on a wide range of financial and non-financial matters including strategic planning, risk, capital planning, and financial management
- Present consistent, transparent financial reporting with strategic financial implications to India Steering Committee, any Audit and Risk Committees and communicate regularly with them to support overall corporate goals.
- Work with global cross-functional teams to plan, oversee and drive delivery of accounting reports, financial statements, filing documents and manage SOX and financial audits related to India
- Provide thought leadership on India financial regulatory landscape, highlight key areas or urgency where changes are required and lead advocacy initiatives with peers to support common interests of financial institutions.
- Lead process improvement initiatives across the Site finance function, and partner with colleagues to work on enterprise wide projects in the Finance, Accounting, Tax and Treasury function.
- Manage the annual operating and capital expenditure budget to deliver the quarterly rolling forecast, the multi-year forecast and the India Entity’s capital plan.
- Assist with the preparation of business forecasting, capital and liquidity aspect for annual and other periodic filing purposes
- Ensure proper accounting and financial management controls, policies, and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial statements and reports; certify as to the accuracy of all financial reports; provide interpretation and analysis of regulatory accounting as it affects the company
- Provide insight into the conversion of the Financial reports into the necessary various international accounting standards required.
- Have stellar communication and strong public speaking ability, and actively engage with our client community.
- Provide a high level of leadership, coaching, development and cross-training opportunities for finance colleagues within the Bank.
