Watch the action from the Indian Premier League as DC vs LSG compete in a key encounter. It was exciting to watch the two teams compete fiercely for a spot in the IPL 2024 playoffs.
DC Innings Against LSG
DC lost their aggressive opener, Jake Fraser-McGurk, in the opening over, while Porel stormed to 50 in 21 balls. Following Fraser-McGurk’s early dismissal, Porel and Hope put up a 92-run partnership for the second wicket. LSG’s spinners then kept DC quiet during the middle overs. However, Pant’s quickfire 33 and Stubbs’ undefeated blitz have brought DC up to par at the Arun Jaitely Stadium.
Stubbs pushes DC past 200
What an innings by Stubbs! His late onslaught of 57* off 25 balls took DC to 208 for 4, with the hosts hitting 72 in the final five overs.
LSG Innings Against DC
The LSG batting had the worst start in chasing, with Quinton de Kock, KL Rahul, and Deepak Hooda leaving the crease in the first four overs, leaving the team at 44 for 4 in no time. Despite being down five points, LSG remained in the game because to Nicholas Pooran’s counter-attacking fifty. Just as we thought LSG had lost the game, Arshad Khan, coming in at No.8, revved up a 25-ball fifty.
Victory For DC
IPL fans were looking forward to the match between DC vs LSG since it included everything. Delhi Capitals finished the group round with a 19-run win over Lucknow Super Giants in Delhi, keeping them in contention for a top-four finish, albeit mathematically. LSG, who have one more game against the Mumbai Indians, are not yet eliminated, but both teams will need other results to go their way in order to finish in the top four.
