Homegrown ecommerce marketplace Flipkart on Monday introduced SuperCoin Pay where customers will be able to pay up to 100 per cent of their bill value across more than 5,000 partner stores (online and offline) using only SuperCoins.
It had recently introduced SuperCoin Exchange which allows customers to exchange their SuperCoins into the partner brand’s Rewards points and vice versa, to make purchases at the store.
What is SuperCoins?
It is an additional service provided by the company which is designed to provide rewards and benefits to millions of customers who shop on the platform.
Through SuperCoin Pay, partner stores across fashion, grocery, food & beverages, travel and health & wellness can register themselves and begin accepting payments through SuperCoins.
Users have earned over a billion SuperCoins on Flipkart to date. However, the program has not been quite successful, simply because there are not a lot of avenues to exchange your SuperCoins.
How to use?
The users will have to open the Flipkart app and than click on SuperCoin Zone, scan the QR Code displayed at the store and enter the bill amount, Select “Pay with SuperCoins” and enter the OTP to redeem the SuperCoins and pay the balance amount with Netbanking, Cards or UPI.
Users can then show payment code at the cash counter and collect the purchased item.
Benefit
The major benefit is that it will continues to give any shopper access to its Rewards programme, which has never been behind any paywall.
