Sanju Samson, the captain of the Rajasthan Royals, was praised by Yuzvendra Chahal, Riyan Parag, Director of Cricket Kumar Sangakkara, and other franchise staff on Tuesday as the Indian Premier League charts leader Rajasthan Royals took on the second-ranked Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
When Samson took over as coach of the Royals, Dishant Yagnik—who was the wicketkeeper with an injury at the time—told Samson he will play for India in the future.
“I advised him to continue playing wicketkeeper for the team. Dishant was cited by PTI as stating, “And I told him that I knew that after playing in the IPL, he would play for India 100 percent.”
In fact, according to team manager Romi Bhinder, Samson began to adopt the pink color scheme, much like Rahul Dravid, Shane Watson, and Shane Warne.
