The move will keep WhatsApp users from leaving the app and will allow them to order products from one platform.

Benefit

Around 400 million users of India’s most popular messaging service can order products without leaving the app.

Also, It will empower nearly 3 crore small Indian Kirana shops to digitally transact with every customer in their neighbourhood.

Aim

Ambani is trying to wrest a bigger share of India’s retail market, estimated to reach $1.3 trillion by 2025. Reliance is already India’s biggest offline retailer. –HT
